Partial-Flake Epoxy Flooring – Stone Silicate

Our Diamond Effects and Stone Silicate coating systems are “next-level” partial chip coatings: identical to our Premium series of coating systems, with one important exception: the flake blends incorporate both thermoplastic and mica stone. While the thermoplastic chips provide the color and contrast, the added mica stone provides the “reflectivity” (the sparkle) that you just won’t get with thermoplastic alone. Stone Silicate and Diamond Effects concrete coating systems are 3 layers thick, including a moisture-mitigating epoxy base layer, a color coat, and a single clear topcoat. So what differentiates Stone Silicate from Diamond Effects systems? The ratio of thermoplastic to mica mineral flakes – Stone Silicate uses a 90% mica stone flake blend, while Diamond Effects uses a 60% mica chip blend. Either way, these partial-flake coating systems look stunning in basements, bathrooms and kitchens, walkways and patios, and interior retail and commercial spaces.
